The individual that I worked with was very helpful and supportive of the situation that we are in. The most difficult part of all of this is dealing with the IRS and trying to get them to understand that financial situations do affect what a person is able to do. Rush takes that stress away by communicating with the IRS on your behalf and helping maneuver through the paperwork. I think that one of the biggest challenges is also how outdated and out of touch the financial schedule is. The cost of goods and services make it so difficult to know exactly what you have, and Rush truly helps in getting the muddy waters cleared up. I would recommend Rush to anyone.

Several weeks ago, based on my own fault I found myself with IRS Issues. The letters were non-stop. I knew I needed help. I researched several tax relief companies that advertise frequently and the reviews were not great. Someone I have respect for recommended Rush Tax Resolution. I called them. Michelle ********* was assigned to be my case manager. She is a consummate professional. She explained the process to me and assured I wouldn’t have to meet with or talk to the IRS. She has handled everything. When I call her she either answers or calls back quickly. When I’m feeling stressed Michelle has a positive, calming way that that brings my stress level down considerably. She’s also very knowledgeable. Michelle is the best. I can whole heartedly recommend Rush and in particular Michelle. If you find yourself with a tax issue don’t go it alone. Call Rush. I’m not sure if you’re able to ask for a particular case manager however if you can definitely ask for Michelle.

I normally don't give 5 stars. Michael G from Rush Tax made my IRS nightmare process bearable and go away. I used to get anxiety every time I got a letter from IRS. Signing the certified letter was an anxiety provoking nightmare. Michael made it so much better. I would scan the letter and send it to him. He would assure me and tell me not to worry. He really take all my worries away. I used to deal with IRS on my own. I would spend on average of 90-120 minutes on the phone just to get no where. He was worth every penny I spent. He was able to negotiate a reasonable amount to pay to IRS and helped set up a payment plan. He dealt with the agents and worked through all the paperwork. Not only did he solve my issues but he saved me so much time. I would recommend him to anyone and worth every star.

Myth: The IRS Hands Out Offers in Compromise Like Oprah Handed Out Cars on Her Giveaway Shows!

The IRS released its annual 'Dirty Dozen' campaign, renewing a warning about companies sometimes referred to as Offer in Compromise 'mills'. The IRS notes that these 'mills' aggressively promote Offers in Compromise (OIC) and create the illusion that the IRS hands these out like Oprah handed out free cars on her big giveaway shows - 'And you get an OIC! And you get an OIC! Everybody gets an OIC!!!'

If you want to make sure you're calling a reputable tax resolution firm, a quick Yelp or Better Business Bureau search can reveal ALOT. You can usually tell who the bad actors are when you read the same complaint mentioned in terrible review after terrible review - usually some iteration of 'They said they could considerably reduce what I owed the IRS. I paid them thousands of dollars, they've done nothing, and now with all the penalties and interest piled on top of what I already owed, I'm in worse shape than before I hired them!'

The OIC program allows eligible taxpayers with an unpaid tax debt to negotiate a settled amount that is less than the total taxes owed, to clear the debt.

The IRS considers an Offer in Compromise based on the taxpayer’s ability to pay, income, expenses, and asset equity. It’s essentially a compromise between the taxpayer and the IRS to settle the tax debt for less than the full amount under certain circumstances.

The Offer in Compromise program is meant to provide relief for taxpayers who are genuinely unable to pay their tax debts. It’s not for individuals who merely want to avoid paying their taxes.
